El Perelló is located in the Baix Ebre region and, according to 2008 data, it has a population of 3,140 inhabitants. The most relevant evidence of human presence in this territory during prehistoric times is cave painting. The Cabra Feixet cave, as well as other nearby sites, conserves samples of the most singular art of European Prehistory: Levantine Art. In 1998, these pictorial samples were included by UNESCO in the list of World Heritage Sites, and their historical value is immeasurable.
